As the Production Director at Wildflower you will be responsible for overseeing the product’s vision as well as crafting the production processes required to repeatedly ship stellar games at Wildflower. You will be responsible for maintaining a healthy, collaborative, and productive team as well as supporting all publisher/developer relationships.

We require a minimum of 6 years of production experience and/or at least 3 shipped game titles for this role.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead team in the development and evolution of the game’s vision and strategy
  • Ensure key game features and product choices further the strategic vision of the product
  • Monitor production outcomes and drive any necessary pivots to the product roadmap in service of delivering on product commitments
  • Effectively prioritizes product and team decisions at the organizational level and orchestrate product level strategic pivots based on analysis of data and new information
  • Holistically responsible for a game from ideation, prototype, pre-production and beyond, directing all aspects of game development
  • Build a high functioning team of developers to execute the strategic vision of the product
  • Manage the team’s overall execution strategy, identifying critical path issues, removing roadblocks, and driving efficiency and accountability in execution
  • Lead the team to excellence, while fostering a positive team culture and an environment that motivates developers to bring their best effort at all times
  • Continuously assesses team and leadership capabilities to ensure that the product teams are set up for success
  • Encourage a learning environment in which constructive feedback is given and the entire team is constantly developing a deep understanding and empathy for our players which you’ll use to make player-focused decisions
  • Manage dependencies to ensure teams aren’t blocked
  • Facilitate prioritization conversations, aligning all parties on tradeoffs to meet project goals where necessary
  • Create, maintain, and improve the processes we use to coordinate work
  • Ensure the team has the best organizational structure, processes, and practices that allow them to produce high quality work efficiently and on time.
  • Deeply understand the game’s audience and ensure the product strategy matches the needs of the audience



Required Experience & Skills:

  • 6 years of production experience and/or at least 3 shipped game titles for this role.
  • Extensive publisher relations and third party vendor experience
  • Substantial experience in previous roles as Producer for a video game company
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and organization development skills. Has built a creative organization OR game project team from the ground up
  • Able to instill a healthy and strong growth mindset within an entire organization.
  • Experience leading and functioning in ambiguous, collaborative environments with team members of several levels and disciplines
  • Experience leading and mentoring production team members
  • Experience maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success building relationships across a variety of disciplines, personalities, backgrounds, and goals
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies and supporting software
  • Deep understanding of game development, software development process, and project management practices.
  • Experience in console and/or PC development, including understanding technical requirements and supporting adoption of new platform features.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, you approach challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to final resolution.
  • Experience with remote work and coordinating work across multiple time zones
  • Leadership and mentorship skills



Salary Range:

$185,000-$270,000 per year
